Duties

The Committee on Libraries shall review and propose library policies at all locations including but not limited to collections, information retrieval, and information access systems aiding teaching, research, and learning. It shall be the Senate advisory body to the Dean of University Libraries. It shall maintain liaison with the Committee on Computing and Information Systems. One member of the committee shall serve on the University Press Editorial Committee.

  Meetings

At all committee meetings:

• Visitors are always welcome to attend but available seating is limited;
• Visitors who would like to address the Committee should contact the Chair in advance of the meeting date; and
• Any attachments that are not posted with the meeting Agenda can be obtained in hard copy from either the Faculty Senate Office or the Committee Chair.
